we are dan, david, sarah, lauren and des.
dan and sarah are husband and wife.
they were married in italy.
david’s dating des who’s from hawaii
and lauren is engaged to a police officer.
so don’t mess.

A BRIEF HISTORY.

dan started shooting weddings in the summer of 2006.
he went to school for education and urban studies
and came out a photographer.
go figure.
some things people are just blessed with.
hardwork is one of them.
anyways, while at columbia college, david contacted dan for assistant work.
soon the two became great friends
and developed the workflow that exists today.
in contrast to dan, david went to school for photography
and brought an appreciation for the more traditional medium of film into their work.
it is without saying that the influence of film and a sense of photographic history
pervades and permeates their work today.
their work has been featured far and wide
from online blogs to magazines
though they care little for accolades and praise.
to this day they’re still trying to figure out the meaning behind all this wedding industry craziness
and how they can do their best to inject new life and vision into an industry
that seems endlessly vain as a reflection of our western egoism.
their strong reaction against regimes of power and the status quo
probably explains why they’re as awkward as they are
or as oddly smiley and friendly as two complete strangers at your wedding could be.
besides their work, couples have adored dan and david for their work attitude-
they are easy going, playful and are ‘ninja-like’ in their stealth.
they’re humble yet extremely confident.
and you definitely wont find them speaking in the third person
though perhaps you might in their writing of a brief history.

sarah and lauren met in LA
while studying film, they were assigned to be roommates
and quickly chose to be friends.
sarah’s calm and collected nature grew on lauren,
just as lauren’s head-throwing laugh grew on sarah.
their most common denominators:
a love for puma shoes
and the words, ‘hot mess’
lauren grew up in illinois and sarah moved to chicago for work
they had the blessed opportunity to continue their friendship
and have chosen to pursue one of their greatest passions- film
not to mention alongside D & D
(not to be confused with dunkin
donuts, where lauren once worked)
their teamwork is fantastic and fun,
just like their art.
what more could one ask for?
